Rowena Houghton Dasch, PhD

Rowena Houghton Dasch is the Executive Director of the Neill-Cochran House Museum in Austin, Texas. In this role, she oversees all aspects of historic preservation and museum operations, including fundraising, collections management, and educational programming.

Rowena holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in American Art from The University of Texas at Austin and an A.B. in Art and Archaeology from Princeton University. Her scholarly research focuses on late Colonial and nineteenth-century American visual and decorative arts and culture. She has contributed to the field through published research, including a collaborative publication with Dr. Tara Dudley in 2021.

Rowena lives in Austin with her husband, Kevin, and their two daughters.
