Terry Colley, DMin

Terry Colley has been involved in preservation-based economic development, Main Street revitalization, heritage tourism and historic preservation in Texas for many years. Terry began his career in historic preservation as the Main Street Manager for the cities of San Marcos and Grapevine, Texas. He later joined the Texas Historical Commission, where he served as State Coordinator of the nationally recognized Texas Main Street Program before advancing to Deputy Executive Director, a role he held for fifteen years until his retirement in May 2014.

Terry is now a retired pastor and a Certified Church Consultant. As a dedicated public servant, Terry continues his service on the boards of the Friends of the Texas Historical Commission and the Hands of Luke Medical Ministries in El Paso, Texas.

Dr. Colley is a native of Austin, Texas, and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (1983) from Southwest Texas State University, now Texas State University, in San Marcos, Texas. He earned his Master of Divinity (1995) and his Doctor of Ministry (2002) from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Terry and his wife, Jennifer, have two grown children and make their home in Canyon Lake, Texas.
