Past Matters, Summer 2026, Published 6/12/2026

We are excited to introduce our new Development Associate, Olivia Green. She has a bachelor’s degree in history and American studies from The University of Texas at Austin. With her love for the Forty Acres, she continued her studies and recently earned a master’s degree in public affairs, along with a certificate in nonprofit management.
Prior to joining the Friends, Green worked as part of the team at Texas Rural Funders, a coalition of more than 40 foundations and organizations focused on philanthropy for rural Texas, where she helped build capacity for rural organizations across our vast state. This experience gave her both a deeper appreciation and understanding of the cultural and geographic landscape of the Lone Star State. She also worked as a government finance fellow at the LBJ School of Public Affairs and as an intern with The University of Texas System. These opportunities allowed her to understand how finance works for public entities.
Green is excited to bring her passion for history to life in this role and looks forward to supporting our work as we share the real places and real stories of Texas.
