We empower preservation initiatives.

Support one of our special programs.

The Friends of the Texas Historical Commission supports the Texas Historical Commission’s goals to identify, research, document, educate, and promote the cultural heritage of Texas. The following three focus areas—Capital Support, Education, and Stewardship—supported by your generous contributions, allow us to achieve these goals.

Capital Support

By providing capital support to historic sites across Texas, we aim to preserve and restore the State Historic Sites that played a vital role in Texas’s history to offer greater accessibility to, and awareness of, their stories.

Stewardship

We support a variety of stewardship programs that help preserve and interpret Texas’s archeological landscape and historic courthouses and that support allied organizations through a combination of vocational and volunteer training, fiscal sponsorships, and mentoring.
